The usual

It sounds like people enjoyed Shapeshifter, and I really appreciate the kind words. There are a lot of drawbacks to a long series, but it’s also rewarding to be able to deliver on things that have had some time to cook. I feel like we’re able to do that more in these later books: tying things together in Highest Hopes, the wedding in Clear Sky, and now the events of Shapeshifter. Surprising no one, I’ve started developing a new Admiral book to follow Shapeshifter, although next up is the fourth and final Atrophy novel. That one is complete, and it’s just a matter of getting it ready for release. I’m hoping that will be early 2026, and I’m really looking forward to it. This is the one that answers questions instead of asking them, and it’s been coming since 2008. There’s a lot in there.

Unrelated, I’m no closer to there being a social media platform that I actually want to use, but I made a Bluesky just now that I haven’t done anything with but will dutifully look at. You can hassle me on there or on Facebook. I’m hoping it works the same as old-timey Twitter. I guess I’ll find out. Edit: Yes, after 20 minutes, I hate it.

Anyway, thanks for reading the books and saying nice things. It means a lot.
