Time for another video, and since one of my space books just came out, why not talk about science fiction? The phrase ‘Hard Science Fiction’ is one I see misused quite a bit; it always makes me think of The Princess Bride when the guy calls that other guy out for saying inconceivable all the time.

No, my work isn’t that kind of ultra-science hard SF, but it’s still hard in the sense that it will beat you up and take your lunch money. You think that’s hardcore? You haven’t seen anything yet; some of my other books are doing hard time in the slammer as we speak.
